Springwater News is produced every two weeks.
We print 16,000 papers per issue.
Over 14,500 are delivered by Canada Post, including the subscription list of 150 plus, and the rest are available at newsstands throughout our area.
Our area consists of all of Springwater Township, all of Tiny Township, and we go into Tay and Oro-Medonte on a rough line down through Vasey, Mount St Louis and into Horseshoe Valley. We also go into the Utopia area of Essa Township. This area includes Lafontaine, Perkinsfield, Wyevale, Wyebridge, Waverley, all the beaches north of Wasaga, Elmvale, Hillsdale, Phelpston, Craighurst, Horseshoe Valley, Minsesing, Midhurst, Grenfel, Utopia, Centre Vespra, Rural Barrie (#1, 2, 3 and SS44) and some of the Barrie City suburbs as well. If your commuity doesn't appear here, give us a call and we will add it.
The paper is presently printed at Master Web Inc in Mississauga. The paper is electronically transferred through an FTP site on Tuesday afternoons. It is printed Tuesday evening and delivered back to Barrie where we meet on Wednesday morning (noon).
On Wednesday afternoon, and very early Thursday morning, the papers are delivered to 12 different post office drops (Penetang, Midland, Perkinsfield, Wyevale, Wyebridge, Elmvale, Hillsdale, Phelpston, Minesing, Midhurst, Barrie and Angus).
If the world was a perfect place, everyone would have their paper in their box on Thursday. Most postal delivery persons make that a priority and we appreciate their due diligence.
The paper is put together every other Thursday, and the deadline is the Monday before (3 days). The sooner your ads/articles arrive, the sooner they are in the paper as it is a daily work in progress.
