Minesing Moments by Lorrie Norwood

Halloween turned out to be a relatively nice evening for all the little ghosts and goblins here in the village.  I would like to mention the politeness of each trick or treater that showed up at my door! Everyone seemed so happy to be out gathering their loot.

A group of friends gathered and did a Witches Ride Sunday afternoon.  We rode around the village playing witchy music, ringing our bike bells and wished everyone we saw a Happy Halloween.  Hopefully next year we can have more moms join us for the ride!  Keep us in mind next year.  A message will go out ahead of time as a reminder.

An important reminder to all who walk in the forests and on trails in our area that it is hunting season.  Please be sure to wear bright colours and also be sure to get your pet some sort of bright coloured jacket or for around their necks for their protection.

Remembrance Day is on the 11th and I am unsure of what events will be taking place on our area but try to find time on the 11th hour to remember all those who fought for our freedom. We thank them for their service.

After the 11th we can start decorating for Christmas!  Let’s try our best to have our village decked out brighter than ever this year! It’s time to celebrate and get a little more back to normal after the last couple of years.

Until next time…make an appointment to get those snow tires on!
