Minesing Moments by Lorrie Norwood

Greetings readers!

Rink Update:  Our skating rink has a good base on it and is now ready to go! Our volunteer crew has been working hard on it and now it can be enjoyed.  A reminder that the rink house will be closed but there are benches outside where you can change.  If we have warmer temperatures there will be no lights as we want to keep the good base.  Rules for the rink are posted on the door.  Be mindful of social distancing and wear a mask.  Be respectful to each other on and off the ice.  Garbage cans are provided so please use those and keep the area clean so everyone can enjoy.

Mini-Fest: Plans are in motion to celebrate our 50th Minesing Mini-Fest.  We anticipate it to be a one day event due to the current Covid restrictions.

Mark the date:  Saturday February 12th.

The Theme for the parade is Memories of the past 50 years.  If you are interested in entering a float or participating in the parade, please contact Mike Priest or leave a message on the Facebook page.  Nominations for Citizen and Youth of the year can be sent to Wanda Maw-Chapman.  Watch for Swampy and his colouring contest – more details to be provided soon.  Buttons are on their way soon, locations of sales will be announced in the near future.
