Throwback Thursdays

Most of us are familiar with the “Saurin “ curve on the way to Waverly. That road wasn’t built until the 1930’s. Before then you would have to take Cty. Rd. 6 to all points north. Here, in photos above,  you can see the road building equipment that was used. The house was the home of my great grandfather Albert Archer. This is where my grandad Bill Archer grew up. He is the older blonde haired boy in the picture to the right. This home burnt in 1940. The property is Still owned by Archers… Gerry Archer, Grant’s son lives there.
