THANK YOU UMPIRES
On behalf of every Friday night ball player we’d sincerely like to thank our umpires for being out on their Fridays nights to umpire the likes of all the teams who came out to play.
Noah Parnell, Doug Tinney and our home town resident all time favourite umpire Tom McGinnis. We know calling outs and safes is a tough job but we all think you 3 did a fabulous job— most nights.
We would also like to thank Adrianna McGinnis who put the schedule together for the season and for play offs as well.
And last but not least thank you to the fans who came out to support us and cheer us on. Some are saying they had as much fun as the players did. And the red flag had them holding their breath for the final decision to be called. By Rowan King
Editor’s Note: I am sure the community would extend this to all our umpires that take the time and commitment to oversee the games. It is not easy being an umpire as not all players will agree with all calls. I challenge any player when they challenge an umpire, that they try the job out just for one game.
