Hello Everyone. There’s a lot going on in the world right now that we may not like. Are we wondering: if I strengthen my belief in my ability, will I be able to handle everything that comes my way?
Truthfully, when life challenges me the most, that’s when I do my best to believe that God’s wisdom and His strength will see me through. For the record: He’s never failed me.
God longs for us to experience the joy of being loved by Him, to believe that His word will guide us and lift us into our identity as His beloved children. He longs for us to do this in spite of what we see and hear around us.
What impact would strengthening our belief in God’s concern for us – our belief in His desire to help us, to comfort us, and to show us the best way to move forward – have on the situations we are facing right now?
Moses believed God. Isn’t this why he could stand beside the Red Sea and declare to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13,14)
Do we have evidence that the Lord has been fighting for us in our lives? Do we have evidence of wisdom that could only have come from Him? Did we get well when the doctors said we wouldn’t, but we asked God for His help anyway and now we’re well?
Or, are we still trying to do everything in our own strength?
Truly, we need to strengthen our belief in God’s goodness toward us. We need to believe that He loves us so much that He wants to help us be wise and to persevere, to step through what’s challenging us. All we have to do is ask Him for His help. He promises to never leave or forsake us. We can count on Him! Amen.
