Summer Reading Program Registration
This program is perfect for children ages 3-13. You can still register online on the Read Squared app to log your reading and win prizes up to the last week of August. In branch program registration is open (see details below). Go to our website and register today!
Stories in the Park
Families are invited to join us this summer outside for stories, snacks and fun in the park! We will be travelling to Homer Barrett Park Mondays 10:30am as well as different parks within Springwater so be sure to check our list below and register for one near you! Cost FREE. Ages 6 and under and their caregiver(s). Thursdays 10:30am on: July 31 at O’Neill Park, August 7 at Stone Manor Park, August 14 at Grenfell Park, August 21 at Minesing Park. Registration required.
Weekly STEM Activities
Children of all ages are invited to our weekly STEM project program to learn about the world around them. These fun-filled crafts and activities incorporate science, coding, engineering, and more.
Fridays 1:30pm at Elmvale Branch. Cost: FREE. Registration required.

Obstacle Course Across Europe
Ages 3+ can join us to learn about European countries, cultures, and landmarks by completing Europe-themed activities in this fun team-building obstacle course. This program will be run at the Elmvale Community Hall on Tuesday August 5 at 9:30am. This program will also run at the Midhurst Branch on Thursday August 7 at 10:30am or 5pm. Cost: FREE. Registration required.
Antarctic Snow Slime
Ages 7+ can join us to visit Antarctica and make your own slime. Add sparkles and snowflakes to make your slime look like the snow found all over this icy continent.
This program will be run at the Elmvale Community Hall on Tuesday August 12 at 9:30am. This program will also run at the Midhurst Branch on Thursday August 14 at 10:30am or 5pm. Cost: FREE. Registration required.
Australia Dot Painting
Ages 3+ can come decorate a boomerang using Australian Aboriginal dot painting techniques. Then, visit the Maori people of New Zealand and make your own Poi to use for dancing. Tuesday August 19 at Elmvale Branch at 10:30am or 12pm or 3:30pm or 5pm. This program will also run on Thursday August 21 at Midhurst Branch at 10:30am or 5pm. Cost: FREE. Registration required.
