The Elmvale Minor Hockey Association’s U7 LL3 White Team has spent the past few months learning, growing, and developing their love for the great game of hockey, made possible through the generous support of their sponsor, Tim Hortons.
While some of these young athletes came to the ice with previous experience, many are just beginning their hockey journey—learning the fundamentals of the game, building confidence, and forming new friendships along the way. Through a variety of fun and engaging drills, players have been working hard to improve their skating and stick-handling skills under the guidance of our fantastic parent coaches, Jodi, Matt & Taylor. Their positive, supportive, and encouraging coaching style has created an environment where players can thrive, build skills, and enjoy the game.
The U7 White team has enjoyed many shared practices with fellow EMHA U7 teams, as well as several exciting games against neighbouring communities including Oro-Medonte, Coldwater, and Wasaga Beach.
Last month, the team traveled to Angus to take part in the Essa Eagles U7 Jamboree. The players gave it their all over three hard-fought games and returned home tired, proud, and smiling from ear to ear. A sincere thank you goes out to Berns Piping Systems Inc. for their generous sponsorship, which made participation in this memorable event possible.
The EMHA U7 White Team would love to see community members at the Elmvale Arena, cheering them on each weekend. The team would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tim Hortons for supporting these young players—not only in developing their love for hockey, but also in fostering friendships, teamwork, and life skills that will benefit them for years to come.
EMHA U7 LL4 team thanks Tim Hortons
Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Tim Hortons, the 2025–26 U7 LL4 hockey team has been able to take to the ice on weekends, creating an exciting and memorable year for players, families, and coaches alike.
The season began with many new skaters, but through consistent coaching and practice, the players have quickly developed their skating skills, learned basic teamwork, and gained confidence. Along the way, they have also formed new friendships that are already becoming an important part of their hockey experience.
Week after week, the players show up excited to go, whether for practice or a game, eager to show off their newly learned skills. The parents look a little less enthusiastic during early-morning away games, but a quick coffee stop at Tim Hortons fixes that!
Seeing the future of EMHA take the ice in their black, yellow, and white jerseys brings smiles to everyone in the stands. From friendly puck battles to the lively challenge of player changes on the bench, the games offer plenty of fun and laughter. The team recently participated in their first tournament together, marking a special moment in a season that continues to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.
Hello everyone, here is a full schedule with the Springwater News for team articles. With the sudden passing of Linda Belcourt there has been a delay in printing. After communicating with her daughter we have put together a schedule for when they are due for each team. Please include the volunteer who writes the article so they can be credited for the hour. And don’t forget a team picture as well as a sponsorship shout out. Feel free to use CHat GPT to help with your article.
