JUNEAU, Murray Ronald Joseph
March 28, 1941 – September 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Murray Juneau on Tuesday, September 9, at Georgian Bay General Hospital, at the age of 84.
Born to Alvin and Roseanne Juneau, Murray grew up surrounded by the love of his many brothers and sisters.
He was a devoted husband to the late Gertrude Mason Juneau, and a proud and loving father to Murray “Butch” (predeceased), Jennifer, Terry (Sue), and Robert “Bruce”. Murray will be remembered fondly as a proud grandfather to Ashley, Donny, Robyn (predeceased), Brandon (Charlene), Tina Jennifer, Chenise, Amanda, Chantelle, Jennifer, Trista (Chris), Kaitlyn (Dan), Madison, Brooklyn, Sierra and his 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Murray had a heart for others. He was the kind of man who showed up, helped out, and never asked for anything in return. Known for his compassionate nature, he lived boldly and unapologetically — always honest, always true to himself. He loved to talk, to laugh, and to share stories; if he came by for a visit, you knew you were in for hours of good company. He loved fiercely and completely, stood by his values, and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. To be loved by Murray was to feel it deeply — and he will be missed more than words can express.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Waubaushene Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday October 4th from 12pm – 3pm.
In honour of Murray’s generous heart and lifelong support of charitable causes, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
