MCELWAIN, Sandra Joyce

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Saturday, December 13, 2025.  Sandy McElwain (nee Ritchie) of Phelpston in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Ray McElwain. Dear mother of Greg (Janice) McElwain, Russell (Heidi) McElwain, Kim (Jim) Rettinger, and Troy (Colleen) McElwain. Grandmother of Chris, Scott, Justin, Adam, Kyle, Will, Matt, Lauren, Katie, and Megan. Great-Grandmother of Declan, Keira, Liam, Camryn, Hayden, Emilia, Wren, Henry, and Emerson.  Sandy will be greatly missed by the Ritchie and McElwain families.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be interned at a private family service to take place in the spring.
