BRUNELLE. Gabriel “Gabe” Alcime

10-May-1940 – 19-January-2026 Peacefully passed away at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Monday, January

19, 2026 at the age of 85 years. Gabe is the loving father to Dave (Nicole), Michelle and Denis, beloved Grandfather of Alec (Zeena). Cherished great grandfather of Weston. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Guy (Patsy) and Victor (Verna), and his sisters Blanche (Maurice), Liz (Tony) and Jeanne (Joe). Gabe has been reunited with his parents Hubert and Lea, and his brothers John, Paul, Richard and Alcime, and sisters Marie and Louise. He will be sadly missed by his many nephews, nieces, and extended family members.

He raised his beloved children with their mother, Joan, though life led them down different paths. We enjoyed numerous camping and fishing trips, and church and family gatherings. Gabe also shared a meaningful relationship with Gayle until her passing, whose unconditional love, support and companionship brought him comfort and laughter.

He grew up in Lafontaine, where his roots were firmly planted where his lifelong love for community began. Besides working in the automotive, delivery, and real estate professions, he had the privilege to serve as a council member for the Township of Tiny and the Town of Penetanguishene.

We wish to thank all the wonderful staff at Georgian Manor in Penetang and Georgian Bay General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of our father. In keeping with Gabe’s wishes, cremation will be taken place. He will be buried in Lafontaine with his parents. There will be a memorial service in the spring.
