Buchanan, Dale

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Dale Buchanan, age 71, on September 25, 2026, at Sunnybrook Hospital.

Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Ariel, children Steve (Lisa) and Brenda (Gord), and grandchildren Matthew and Daniel.

A lifelong farmer, Dale’s heart was always on the farm. He loved the land, his cattle, his John Deere equipment and time at his “happy place,” the cabin at the back of the farm. He spent many years serving Springwater Township as Roads Supervisor.

Dale was a much-loved and respected Uncle Dale, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on the farm on October 7, 2026, anytime after 3:00 p.m. All are welcome. Please come as you are, casual and comfortable.
