GILLESPIE, Edward George Henry

Edward (Ed) Gillespie passed away peacefully May 8th in his 82nd year at Hillcrest Village Care Centre, Midland with his beloved Donna of 61 years by his side.  Ed and Donna’s relationship was a true love story from beginning to end with Ed’s final words to her being, “I will love you forever and ever”.

Ed was a devoted father of Laurie, John and Doug Gillespie, Vanessa Lewis and Charlene (Colin) Roswell.  Dear grandfather of Scott (predeceased), Jason (Hannah) Gillespie and Laura Campbell. And great grandfather to Austin, Emma, Coleson, Colton, Brandon, Myah and Dawson.

Ed was the eldest child of the late Jack and Elva Gillespie.  Ed was an amazing big brother to Harry (Connie) Gillespie, Edna (Bill) Taylor (predeceased), Linda (Harold) Black, Johnny Gillespie (predeceased), Les (Marie) Gillespie, Debbie (Tim) Kennedy and Lisa (Greg) Graham.

Ed was a much loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews.  His heart was as big as the sun and it shone through with everyone that was fortunate to know him.

A celebration of life with be held at the Gillespie family farm at 1263 Flos Road 5 West of Springwater on Sunday June 9/24 from 3:00 to 7:00pm with special memories and stories shared at 4:30pm
