Kristeen “Krissy” Lorraine Brenda Maw

28-Jul-1987 – 14-Jun-2026

In Loving Memory

The family of Kristeen Lorraine Brenda (Krissy) Maw is deeply saddened to announce her passing on June 14, 2026, at the age of 38. She is lovingly remembered by her children Penny and Pippin, her Partner Shawn Desrochers, her parents Jim and Barb Maw, siblings Kendra (David, daughter Claire), Justin (Narelle, daughter Peyton), Hayley (Johnny, daughter Charlie), Heydon (Jax), and Daniel (Derek).
Krissy is lovingly remembered by her grandma, Sandra Breedon (late Ken) and is predeceased by her grandparents Floyd and Ruth-Ann Maw. She is remembered by all her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Krissy had so many talents she could play every instrument she ever picked up without a single lesson. She had an amazing voice and there was not a song she could not sing. She had a great love for her pets and plants. She and her family loved live theatre and attending concerts. She followed her grandmother Sandra’s amazing talent for sewing, never needing a pattern. She had the most infectious laugh and a smile that lit up every room she entered. She had recently gone back to school receiving her Liberal Arts degree at Georgian and was completing an English degree at Lakehead, where she was honored with a position on the dean’s list.
Krissy’s final act of kindness was being an organ donor; we are so very proud of her for this.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre ICU, as well as to the Trillium Gift of Life Network for their time and effort throughout the management of her care. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Adam’s Funeral Home for all of their help along the way.

The family will be honoring Krissy with a celebration of life on Sunday, August 16th, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm, at Elmvale & District Lion’s Club, Flos Rd. 7 W, Elmvale.

In Krissy’s memory donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe, Seasons Centre for Grieving Children or Matthews House Hospice.
