Building a Life – by Annie Warner Donnelly

Building a Life for All Seasons – Written by Annie Warner Donnelly

Hello Everyone. Wildfires and wars are attacking the hopes and dreams of our people, sometimes to the point of taking their lives. They are attacking our peace.

As you read these words, may your heart receive the peace that God sends from His heart to yours. May you experience His comfort right where you are. May you be able to be still and know that God is God and that He is love and that He loves you! May stillness bring calm to your mind and to your body. May you know that with every breath you take, God has not left you nor forsaken you. He is right there with you, right now.

Heavenly Father, Your presence with us means more to us than our words, in all the languages that are spoken, are able to express. You are the one who gives us a future and a hope in these troubled times. Father, please bind us together in Your love. In these moments, may we experience Your peace that passes all human understanding. May we glimpse the security of heaven.

Please be with those who are fleeing for their lives; with those cornered by fire or war, by terrorists or hunger; with those trying to find food and medical care to keep their children alive; with those whose homes have been destroyed, whose livestock or pets are dead or missing; with those whose loved ones have died and whose bodies are still missing.

In the midst of the world’s suffering, may we experience the joy of Your salvation, the steadfastness of Your love, the faithfulness of Your comfort, the beauty of summer as You created it to be, and the eternal hope that exists in You alone. May we see that it’s still possible to achieve our hopes and dreams.

Please heal everything that is in our hearts, our minds, our bodies and our spirits that needs Your healing touch. May we be a light within our homes, our families, our communities, wherever our footsteps take us. May our praise and worship be a sweet sound in Your ear. Amen.
