Lego Building Challenge
Get ready to build, design and imagine during the library Lego Challenge where each week features a new theme to inspire inventive creations and exciting ideas. Kids will use their problem solving skills and imagination. Mondays 10:30am at Elmvale and Midhurst Branches. Cost: Free. No registration required for this drop-in program.
STEM Program
Discover the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through hands-on experiments and creative challenges at the library STEM Program. Open to curious minds, each week will explore new things! Wednesdays at 1pm in August at Midhurst Branch or Fridays 1pm in August at Elmvale Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.
Duck! Duck! Goose! Program
Waddle over to the library for duck week, a quacking good time filled with duck-themed crafts, games and activities for kids. From silly stories to imaginative projects and playful challenges this program will have everyone flapping with excitement. Tuesday August 4, 10:30am or 5:30pm at Elmvale Branch and Thursday August 6, 5:30pm at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.
Whale of a good time! Program
Make a splash during whale week at the library with whale-themed crafts, games and exciting hands-on activities for kids. Dive into stories, ocean fun and playful adventures inspired by the amazing giants of the sea. Tuesday August 11, 10:30am or 5:30pm at Elmvale Branch. Thursday August 13 at 5:30pm, Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.
Adult Meditation Class
The Barrie Community Health Clinic will be presenting a Meditation class. This class includes information and education as well as three separate mindfulness meditations. All abilities are welcome! Friday August 14, 11am at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.
You’re “Otterly” Amazing! Program
Snuggle up for a paws-itively adorable program at the library filled with otter-themed crafts and games that are sure to make a splash. Kids will enjoy silly, fun sweet stories and hands-on adventures inspired by everyone’s favourite furry little swimmers. Tuesday August 18, 5:30pm at Elmvale Branch or Thursday August 20, 5:30pm at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.
