Welcome Back, Harvesters Fans!
The wait is almost over, Harvester’s hockey is back! As we get ready to drop the puck on another exciting season, the Elmvale Harvesters organization would like to welcome back our fans, players, families, volunteers, sponsors and supporters. We are looking forward to another great season of Senior AA hockey right here in our community!
Last season was an exciting first chapter for the Harvesters, and we are thrilled to build on that momentum as we head into a new season. From the action on the ice to the energy in the stands, our home games are made special by the incredible support we receive from the Elmvale and surrounding communities.
A huge thank you to all of our returning volunteers who continue to give their time and energy to make Harvesters game days possible. Whether you are helping at the front gate, working the bar, assisting with game-day operations, selling chuck a puck, helping behind the scenes or lending a hand wherever needed, your contributions do not go unnoticed. Our organization simply would not be able to operate without the dedication of our volunteers.
We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our sponsors who have signed on for the upcoming season. Your support plays a tremendous role in helping us bring Senior AA hockey to Elmvale and allows us to continue growing the organization and creating a great experience for our players and fans. We Need Your Help!
As we prepare for another busy season, we are still looking for additional volunteers to join our team. We are currently seeking assistance with game-day operations, as well as volunteers who may be able to lend a hand with jersey sewing and repairs.

Penetang Kings Open Season With Two Wins and a Loss-Submitted by Jamie Robillard
The Penetang Kings opened their 2026-27 Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Carruthers Division season with two wins and one loss as they celebrate their 50th anniversary of Junior C hockey.
Penetang kicked off the season on Friday September 11 with a convincing 6-1 victory over the Muskoka Bears at the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre. The Kings dominated the game from the opening face-off peppering Muskoka netminders with 51 shots. Bears starter Luke Rockbunre faced 39 shots giving up all six Kings goals over the first two periods of the game, while Joey Lavigne turned aside all 12 shots that he faced in the third period. The Kings Landon Simec made 14 saves in the win. Scoring for the Kings were Alex Sajan with two markers and single goals from Camryn Hutchinson, Brody Coe, Lucas Sibley and Cole Rumbolt. The CompuSOLVE Kings Player of the game was defenseman Bryson Kingma who collected two assists.
On Saturday September 12 the Kings got past the Huntsville Otters by a 5-1 score for their second win of the young season. Penetang led 2-1, going to the third period on goals by Hutchinson and Wyndam Brownlee before scoring three third period goals off the sticks of Connor Varley, Josh Hutton and Sajan. Kings’ goaltender Owen Moreau made 23 stops including two breakaway saves to record the victory. Penetang fired 36 shots at Huntsville’s Reed Snyder.
The CompuSOLVE Kings player of the game was defenseman Blake Weicker who played a steady defensive game while adding two assists.
The Kings took to the road on Friday September 18th and dropped a 6-2 decision to the hometown Alliston Hornets. Penetang struck first on a first period goal by Brownlee, but Alliston countered with three second period and three third period markers to seal the victory. Brendan Williams scored the other Penetang goal late in the third period. Will Hopcraft and Logan Jackson both had two goal nights for the Hornets. Shots on goal in the game were equal at 36 shots apiece. The Hornets Gavin Zepp turned aside 34 shots while the Kings Simec made 30 saves.
The Kings’ next game is at home on Friday September 25 at 8:00 pm when they face off against the Stayner Siskins. The Kings are also at home on Friday October 2 at 8:00 pm when their division rivals, the Midland Flyers, come to town.
Penetang’s next road game is Friday October 9 when the visit the Huntsville Otters before they return to home ice on Saturday October 10 when they host the Alliston Hornets at 8:00 pm.
