The Harvesters are BACK!!!  Season OPENS with a 10-3 VICTORY!

The Elmvale Harvesters are officially back in action, and what a way to kick off the season!

First, we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported the Harvesters booth at the Elmvale Fall Fair. It was great connecting with fans, chatting about the upcoming season, and seeing so much interest in Harvesters merchandise. We were excited to get some new merch into the hands of our supporters and appreciate everyone who came out to show their support. Don’t forget, our Fall Fair raffle draw will take place during our home opener on October 31, so there is still something exciting to look forward to!

Our 2026-27 season got underway Saturday night in Thornbury as the Harvesters faced off against the Georgian Bay Applekings. Ryan Hackett wasted no time getting the team on the board, scoring the first goal of the season. From there, the Harvesters took control of the game, putting on a dominant performance and skating away with an impressive 10-3 victory.

The Will Marshall Insurance Brokers Three Stars of the Game were awarded to first star Jacob Kelly, second star Dave Pearce, and third star Adam Redgate. It was also an encouraging first look at our new coaching staff, who made a strong impression as the team opened the season with a convincing win.

Along with the season opener, the Harvesters announced their leadership group for the year. Owen King will wear the captain’s “C,” with Dave Pearce, Steve Hlusiak, and Jacob Kelly serving as alternate captains. Congratulations to all four players on being selected to lead the team both on and off the ice!

The road trip continues next weekend with two more away games. The Harvesters will travel to Saugeen on Friday for an 8:30 p.m. puck drop before heading to Durham on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. start. Fans who can’t make the trip can still catch all the action, as both games will be streamed live on the Elmvale Harvesters YouTube channel.

Of course, the team is most excited to welcome everyone back to the Silo for our home opener on Saturday, October 31, at 8:00 p.m. against Creemore! With Halloween falling on game day, we encourage everyone to get their trick-or-treating done early and make the Harvesters game their final stop of the night. We’ll have plenty of candy on hand and can’t wait to see the creative costumes our fans come up with!

A new season means new memories, exciting hockey, and another opportunity to bring our community together. Thank you again to our fans, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who continues to support senior hockey in Elmvale.

We’ll see you at the Silo!

Go Harvs Go!
