PD Programs are here!

Seniors ProgramWalk, Talk and Lunch – Keeping Seniors (55 and over) active and healthy!

Two walks have been organized for seniors on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. One starts at 10:45 commencing at the Penetanguishene Arena (long walk). The other starts at 11:15 commencing at the Penetanguishene Arena (short walk). Lunch will be served at 12:00 at the Arena. (Soup, bun, salad and dessert!)

This program is open to seniors with a library card and is free. Join others for nice conversation and a pleasant stroll through the neighborhood. Please register in person at the library with your library card.

Dementia Mini Series

The Alzheimer’s Society will hold an educational mini-series on Dementia providing general knowledge and awareness to participants. A series of sessions will start on February 24th, and continue on March 7th, and March 14th from 1:00 – 2:30 pm at the library. Topics include communication and preparedness for risks of gone missing. Registration required at the library. Participants do not need a library card to join this program. Open to anyone! Refreshments will be served.

Senior Men in Aprons

This programs encourages men to make meals for one while socializing with others. Register with your library card by March 6th. Cook your meal at the Brian Orser Hall, Penetanguishene Arena on March 9th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Free of charge.


The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch. March 2nd, from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Join us for Storytime, parade and a craft.

Bath Bombs for Kids

Make 3 – 4 large Bath Bombs in different sizes and colors. Sign up with your library card in person and reserve your spot for Tuesday, March 14th.

March Break

Bowling! For ages 8-14 years. Enjoy making new friends while bowling at the Knight Heaven Lanes. Sign up with your library card. We will bowl on March 15th from 10:00 – 11:30 am. Cost: $5.00 per participant. Snack included.

Explore the World

Take a trip around the world with games, crafts, art and music! Registration required by March 14th.

This program will be held on Friday, March 17th from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Free!

Participate in Board Meetings. Open to the public. Next meeting February 27th, at 6:30 pm.

The paper is electronically available online on publishing date at our website. The paper is published every other Thursday. The deadline is the Monday before (3 days).
