Storytime Special Guest!

Storytime happens weekly on Tuesdays at Elmvale Branch at 10:30am and Wednesdays at Midhurst Branch at 10:30am and this month we have a special guest coming to Storytime in September! Linda, from Barrie Native Friendship Centre will be coming with songs, stories and a drum. Mark your calendar for this free, interactive and special Storytime on Tuesday September 19, 10:30am at Elmvale Branch. This is a FREE drop in program.

EarlyON Stay, Play and Learn

Open to ages 0-6 and their caregivers: Stay, Play and Learn program is every Wednesday and Friday 9am-12noon at Elmvale Branch. Pre-registration is required at earlyonsimcoenorth.ca. For questions you can call (705) 526-2456.

Tech Help

Book your one-on-one appointment: Wednesdays 10:30am-12noon at Midhurst Branch or biweekly Thursdays 3pm-5pm at Elmvale Branch.

NEW! After School Games

Come on in after school hours to play some games with friends and family! The library will provide the games, or you can bring your own! All ages are welcome to join in the fun! Drop in Tuesdays starting September 5, 3pm at Minesing Branch.

Friends of Springwater Public Library

Interested in supporting the library? Wondering what the Friends of Springwater Library is and does? Come to an information night on Monday September 18, 5pm at Elmvale Branch. All are welcome!

NEW! Teen Game Night

Bring your friends and try out some of the new games (and snacks!) the Library has purchased for Teen Games Night. Tuesday September 19, 5:30pm at Elmvale Branch.

NEW! Pajama Storytime

Join Kaitlyn for bedtime Storytime once a month! Wear your pajamas, bring a blanket or your favorite stuffed animal and enjoy a quiet Storytime in the library. Thursday, September 21st at 6pm, Minesing Branch. Registration required. Cost: Free.

Take and Make Craft

Kaitlyn’s crafts are very kid friendly and only available while supplies last. The craft on Friday September 22 is a fox.

Creative Adults: Vision Board Workshop

Your vision board can include topics such as career, home life, spiritual growth, travel, health and well being and family. This program is hosted by South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre. Thursday September 26, 6pm at Elmvale Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.

NEW! Parent/Child Book Club

For parents and children ages 8 – 11, the “On the Same Page Book Club” will be starting this fall! Read the book together and then gather as a group to talk, play games and enjoy some snacks! Registration is required. Thursday September 28, 6pm at Midhurst Branch.

NEW!  Babytime

Starting weekly on Fridays come and join us for short stories, songs and rhymes! This is a great place to chat with other parents and make connections in your community. This is for babies who are not yet walking. Friday September 29, 10:30am, Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.

YMCA Employment Services

This program run by the Midland YMCA Employment Service offers FREE assistance with employment questions, resume help, cover letter help, HOW TO job search, interview prepping, etc. The last Friday of every month at Elmvale Library from 10am – 4pm. This is a walk in service.

Emoji Keychain Craft

Design and create your own unique keychain. This program will be available as long as supplies last. Friday September 29, after school at Midhurst and Elmvale Branch.

The paper is electronically available online on publishing date at our website. The paper is published every other Thursday. The deadline is the Monday before (3 days).
