Survey Says!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who filled out our library survey. We had an amazing, record-breaking number of responses! The top three words most mentioned in the survey were: Staff, Books and Community. Next steps include the Strategic Planning Committee, Library Board members and staff compiling/analyzing the responses for our strategic plan. Thanks again for all your wonderful support!!
Volunteer Income Tax Program
In person, phone appointments and drop off processing of taxes are available for those within the tax brackets of $35,000 for one person, $45,000 for two people and up to $50,000 for a family of four. In person appointments are available in March and April, please contact us to book your appointment at (705) 322-1482. If you are using the drop off method of tax processing, please ensure your documents are in a sealed envelope labelled INCOME TAXES and includes your date of birth, contact information (name, address, phone number and email address). This program operates in collaboration with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Creative Adults: Butterfly Art
Create a beautiful 3D painting. All materials provided. Tuesday April 16 at Elmvale Branch. You can register for either the 2pm program or 6pm program. Cost $10.
Storytime Special Guest
We will have special guest, Linda, from the Barrie Native Friendship Centre to Storytime at the library on Wednesday April 17, 10:30am Midhurst Branch. Linda will be reading some stories and teaching some friendly words to say, “Hi!” to new friends.
Drop in Craft: Handprint Animal
Come on into the Midhurst or Elmvale Branches and make a handprint animal. Some examples include; Cow, Lion, and Duck, among others. This drop-in program is available as supplies last. Starting April 19, 2024.
Sublimation Magnet
Using the Canva platform and our sublimation printer, design two magnets to print and take home. Ages 8 and up. Ages 8 to 11 to be accompanied by an adult. Thursday April 25, 6pm-7pm at Midhurst Branch. Cost: $4 for two magnets. Registration required.
Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival Book Sale
The Friends of Springwater Library will be hosting the library’s annual Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival Book Sale on Saturday April 27, 10am-3:30pm at Elmvale branch. We’ve received some amazing donations of books and DVDs you won’t want to miss! Get your summer beach reads now and support the library.
Master Gardeners: Shade Gardening
Best practices and best plants for shade gardening, including some attractive seasonal and perennial combinations. Tuesday May 14, 6pm at Elmvale Branch. Cost: FREE. Registration required.
